To the end of the earth and back.......

...... well if we were living in the dark ages.

Today I went to Lochaline. That is on the far west coast of Scotland, over by Fort William and Oban. It really is one of the most westerly points in Scotland. If you look at it on a map you see that there is no land between there and North America. It took so long to get there, not helped by the fact that once we got off the ferry (going via the ferry saved me 4 hours of driving) we were following single track roads with passing places, not exactly ideal when driving a 3.5 tonne van.
The ferry itself is worth the trip up there. It is C shaped, and you go on and go off the ferry at an angle, and have to turn on the jetty.
